About the Open Source Event Detection Platform for Disasters

Please join us to craft the beginning of building an open source event detection platform, to search social media in near real-time for emerging disasters and speed disaster relief. This is a computer science 'hard' problem, involving cloud computing, crowdsourcing, natural language processing, maching learning and all sorts of other exciting problems, so coders, bring on your mad skills.
